Moderate shelf wear, some light tan stains and drop marks on covers, paper lightly age yellowed, otherwise tight, clean, paper crisp, unmarked. Consists of 4 page introduction giving a brief history of food available in the early days, followed by recipes compiled from various sources such as fruit flummery, spider corn bread, Hartford election cake, crazy jiggers, pandowdy, calf's foot jelly and switchel.
