Aggiungi al carrelloPaperback. Condizione: New. Print on Demand. This book is a collection of essays taking a deeply critical stance towards the complex array of political and cultural figures of the late 19th century. The author's pointed observations illuminate the folly and mendacity of the era's most influential figures, from the unscrupulous Rochefort to the venal Drumont. With a sharp pen, the author skewers the growing nationalist fervor and anti-Semitism that would culminate in the Dreyfus Affair, demonstrating the corrosive effects of these movements on French society. Ultimately, this book stands as a timeless reminder of the perils of unchecked demagoguery. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.
