Condizione: Near Fine. **Bundle Up & Save On Postage** A very nice soft cover copy with plastic spiral binding, very light wear bottom front corner, otherwise without flaw, 4.5 X 7" 183 pages plus 9 blank pages for notes (1994). British Columbia has about 40 different species of native trees. Some trees, like lodgepole pine grow throughout the province, but others only grow in places where they are adapted to the particular climate. For each tree, you will find key identifying features such as bark, cones, needles etc. along with photographs and descriptions, as well there is a distribution map. There is also information on the kind of environment in which each tree species likes to grow, the other trees and plants that usually grow with it, and some of the animals that consider it part of their habitat. Many native groups use parts of trees for medicine but, consumption without full knowledge of possible side effects is not recommended. Colour photographs and illustrations throughout.
