This is a uncommon book which contains "Addresses and proceedings to Negro's Young People's Christian and Educational Congress, held August 6-11, 1902." The First Division in the book is most historical and preliminary with presentations of introductory letters etc. The Second Division addresses and discusses the problems and progress of the Race. It focuses on the young people and the church as a religious force. It details what improvements should be made in the religious worship of the churches. It questions if the educated Negro is active in Christian work and if not what is the remedy? Also includes sections on Public School teachers and the necessity for high moral character.
