Ce motif, inscrit dans un encadrement rectangulaire sobre, confère à l'ensemble une aura mémorielle et symbolique forte, rendant hommage aux héros de Verdun. Couvertures conservées, reliure en parfait état, première de couverture insolée sinon parfait état des pages intérieures. Magnificent "speaking" full black leather binding signed by Daniel Quéméner. The smooth spine bears the author and title stamped in gold. The covers feature an embossed relief design of a large central Lorraine Cross set against a background of undulating lines. This motif, enclosed within a simple rectangular frame, imparts a strong memorial and symbolic aura, paying tribute to the heroes of Verdun. Original covers preserved. Binding in perfect condition, though the front cover is slightly sun-faded; interior pages are in pristine condition. Prestigious provenance: ex-libris of Pastor Charles Guillon (18831965), an active member of the Resistance and a savior of Jews during World War II, recognized as Righteous Among the Nations in 1992. A moving collection of poetry dedicated to the combatants of the First World War.
