Soft cover. Condizione: Very Good. 1st Edition. Offered is "Responsibility of the Church in Promoting A Warless World" written by Chas. (Charles) Wiandt and self-published by the author in 1947 out of Waynesburg, Ohio. A left-stapled booklet measuring 3-7/8 inches by 5-7/8 inches and containing 16 pages including front and rear covers. No date specified, although 1947 (the author writes: "Two years have passed since World War II"). The author begins, "The world has just passed through the worst war that has ever been. Two years have passed since World War II and the greatest issue of today is can another war be avoided. We believe that God's word contains a solution to all this violence and unrest. We believe if ever permanent World Peace is maintained it will be directly through the influence of the Church." The author has stamped to the inside title page in red ink: "WORKINGMEN - read more worth while facts - Help avoid CHAOS" - "This increased my desire to seek more knowledge - What is your re-action?" To the last page of text, the author has stamped in purple ink: "ORDER SOME" - "READ - PASS ON" - "HOW MANY at the price?" - "SUPPRESSED facts cost PLENTY - Any help offered Will be APPRECIATED PLENTY." Staples lightly age-rusted; very light narrow waterstain along right edges of each page (to margins only, and not affecting pagination). A rare title.
