Microbial Alchemy offers an interdisciplinary exploration of microorganisms, their chemical properties, and their ability to transform substances through metabolic processes and synthesize them into bioproducts of commercial value and sustainable application. The book opens with an introduction to microbial alchemy. It considers specific metabolites, pathways, enzymes, drugs, or microbial genes and analysis of the chemistry produced by microbes that influence on eco-enterprising strategies and explores the bioprospecting of an array of microbial metabolic products and their applications in healthcare, nutrition, agriculture, environmental sustainability, and industrial development.
