Soft cover. Condizione: Good. No Jacket. First Edition. Two volumes, card covers, tall 4to, pp.190, c130. Volume 1 is the text volume, volume 2 is the plates volume, of which there are some 129, mostly single plates to a page but occasionally two or more, and many in colour. The books serve as the catalogue to accompany regular exhibitions of the works of Burne-Jones and other Pre-Raphaelite artists staged by Peter Nahim ( the editor ) in London. The ISBN numbers are 1872508014 and 1872508022. The glossy plain white card binding to both volumes is somewhat marked in places, there is some edge wear and creasing to corners, and a small split at the foot of the text volume spine / cover seam. A few page corners are also creased but the text is clean and tight otherwise. The text contains several essays on the Pre Raphaelites by Hilary Morgan, as well as notes to each of the 129 plates in the second volume. All in all a useful reference work in G condition. . Heavy book weighing c 1800g when packed, and thus extra postage ( at cost ) will be requested to cover shortfall from default postage quotation for 1000g for UK first class mailing ( second class not affected ) and overseas orders.
