Cloud Computing is penetrating into our personal and professional domains.With cloud computing as part of IT strategy organizations can enhance their capacity without compromising security or requires making heavy infrastructure investments. By moving to cloud the educational institutes can concentrate on their core activities of teaching and research. Both the public and the private institutions can use the cloud computing to deliver better services with limited resources. The trick is to find the right balance of on-premise and cloud services. This book titled “Prospects of Cloud Computing in Education-A Practical Approach” discusses the prospects of cloud computing in education.First chapter introduces cloud.Various aspect of cloud computing such as Data Center consolidation and cloud interoperability is also discussed. A project prototype for establishment of Cloud Computing Center by technical institution of higher learning/University is included in the book for the benefit of project planners. Last two chapters of the book is an introduction to IPv6 and Next Generation Network which is likely give the readers the introductory knowledge about this upcoming technologies.
