Dhaka has been known as the city of energy crisis because the supply of electricity is not able to meet the demand of electricity .On the other hand building industries flourishes both public and private sector for city dwellers. Building sector is one of the major consumers of energy in Dhaka. This book is about the integration of renewable technology: Building Integrated Photovoltaic (BIPV), which is innovative and cost efficient building concept compared with conventional buildings. The exploration find out BIPV is a multifunctional technology which acts as both a building material and devices that generate electricity and also reducing the use of conventional fuel and electricity. It is obvious that the Bangladesh government authority, architect, real estate developers, engineers, consumers are important keystone for successful & efficient implementation of BIPV in the building sector. BIPV can be improving overall image of the future building.

L'autore
Is an architect. She has obtained B.Arch. at the Ahsanullah University of Science & Technology, Dhaka, Bangladesh. After her graduation she joined at Development Design Group, as an assistant architect. Later she holds master’s degree in Construction and Real Estate Management, from HTW Berlin - University of Applied Sciences, Germany.
