Sustainable nature conservation demands balance between human needs and conservation priorities. The concept of sustainable forest management is important in community forestry in order to maintain existing ecosystem, to improve livelihood of community, and to enhance social capital. Mr. Shiva Devkota, MSc, MA. has been working as an Asst. Lecturer at Central Department of Botany, Tribhuvan University, Nepal and equally involves in numerous research programmes. He has published and presented more than a dozen of research papers. His field of interest is wild mushrooms, caterpillar fungus, lichens and biological anthropology.
