Superconducting materials, made up of metals, alloys and compounds are more important due to the characteristics of zero electrical resistance and magnetic levitation. In the present study, Bi (2223) system doped with various metal ions such as antimony, thallium and gallium and their structural, electrical and magnetic properties were investigated. These dopants were found to be useful in enhancing the zero resistivity temperature Tc(0). This study is useful for the researchers in advanced conducting materials, metallic compounds, and oxides. It is also the source of reference for the material scientists, especially those who are working on high-Tc superconducting materials.

Dr. Rashid Mahmood received his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad. His areas of interest are superconducting materials and surface Chemistry. He is working as Assistant Professor of Chemistry at University of Education, Lahore.
