Community-based education is a set of instructional activities that uses the community extensively as a learning environment. Study conducted by the University of Gezira in Sudan was indicated that many institutions are not involving the community in the process of Community-based education programme evaluation. So, the community feels that the programme is being imposed upon them, rather than being available to them. The study shows that three out of five respondents were found to have good attitude and slightly greater than half of the study participants had good knowledge on community based education practices. Their knowledge and attitude on a certain aspects of university and college students’ community based education practices were still poor. Educational status, occupation, relationship of the respondent in his family and monthly income were affecting significantly the knowledge of community on community based education practices. Occupation and Kebele of the respondents has been identified as having significant impact on the attitude of the community members concerning community based education practices.
