In a full calf binding. Externally, a little worn, with loss to the head of the spine, and a smaller patch of loss to the tail of the front joint. Minor bumping to the extremities. Spine is lightly rubbed. Small amount of loss of leather to the front board, with a larger amount of loss and wear to the rear board. Light marks and a little discolouration to the boards and spine. Prior owner's ink inscription to the recto of the front endpaper, and verso of the rear endpaper. Small chip to the rear paste down. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very lightly age-toned with the occasional spot, and a faint tide mark to the fore edge. Worming to the head of 187 to the rear paste down, increasing to the final few pages and affecting the text to the index a small amount. Good.
