Sixth edition, with addition of new cuts, large 12mo (212 x125 mm), 29, [3]pp., with half-title, with the portrait of 'John Bunyan of Bedford' dreaming, and 8 curious woodcuts, and final leaf of advertisements of books by John Bunyan defective, old cello-tape repairs to all leaves, small burn hole to pages 15-18, stitched as issued. Includes a half-title with imprint: 'Sold by Mr. John Twells bookseller in Ashby, '. Provenance: Early ownership signature in ink on verso of half-title 'Edward Farden, His Book 1780.' Very rare, this appears to be the only eighteenth-century printing from this provincial town; ESTC locates just two copies (Northampton Record Office and Selly Oak Colleges Central Library).
