A finely bound full leather copy with brass clasp to close with extensive blind-stamped and gilt decoration, raised bands and gilt lettering on the spine, gilt dentelle turn-ins. Common Prayer [24], 635pp, dated 1847. A New Version of the Psalms of David 92pp, dated 1844. Approximately 6 ¼ inches tall. Condition Report Externally Spine good condition gilt titles, five raised bands, gilt decoration to the compartments, gently rubbed top and tail. Joints good condition gently rubbed and worn. Corners good condition gently bumped and worn with some minor loss. Boards good condition full leather binding with brass clasp to close, decorative blind tooling and gilt decoration to both boards. Page edges good condition all gilt. See above and photos. Internally Hinges good condition intact. Paste downs good condition plain with gilt dentelle turn-ins. End papers good condition plain, the front end paper has the name of a previous owner, minor foxing, subsequent end papers tanned and foxed. Title good condition the Common Prayer title page is lightly tanned and foxed, the Psalms title page is lightly tanned. Pages good condition lightly tanned throughout. Binding good condition.
