Bulletin LIX of the William L Clements Library (revised and enlarged from Bulletin XX). *First published in 1934, this is a catalogue of an exhibition of forgeries, inspired by Carter & Pollard's Enquiry, 'the clever exposure of the cleverest forgeries of the late nineteenth century' [Introduction]. Most of the items on display were American, but three Wise items were included 'with a bow to Messrs. Carter and Pollard' [p. 12].
