Quarter tan calf with purple reeded cloth by Remnant & Edmonds of London; gilt titles and fox mask motif to upper board. Spine scuffed with very minor loss at head and small loss (approx 1/2 an inch) at tail; boards a little bruised at corners and edges with rectangular mark where label has been removed to upper board. Inner front hinge has 3 small cracks but is very firmly holding. A little foxing and staining, mainly to frontispiece and rear endpapers; p 185 onwards creased at tip of lower corner. Binders' ticket to rear pastedown. Comprehensive guide to the preservation of grouse, pleasant and partridge for sport by the removal of predators and pests including mammals and birds, with instructions on the usage of traps and the application of game laws. Scarce.
