Second edition, corrected and enlarged; engraved frontispiece, letterpress title-page printed red and black, four folding engraved maps. 18th century half calf over marbled boards, gilt, red morocco label to spine. Corners worn and spine rubbed. London : Charles Brome, Scarce English geographical dictionary, first published in 1688; this second edition adds four maps of the continents (as called for by ESTC); the world map found in some copies (which is not called for by ESTC) is not present here. The maps were prepared by Robert Morden for inclusion in his Geography Rectified. Reference: ESTC R13280.
