xvi, 1680, [8] pp. Patterned blind-stamped quarter red cloth with gilt lettering over olive-coloured cloth boards in illustrated jacket, not price clipped; all edges speckled red. Chipping to edges of jacket, marks and slight slight creasing to panels. Minimal wear to spine ends, boards clean. Scattered foxing to fore-edge and edges within but generally internally clean. With 32 colour-plates and nearly 700 illustrations. 8 pages of adverts at rear. Adverts on endpapers. Usually it's the later 40's editions of this one that turn up. A sound and tight copy. Large 8vo.
