Con ritratto a medaglione in antiporta al volume I e 2 tavole (una ogni volume) incise in rame da Grignion su disegno di Mortimer. Asportata la carta di copertura al piatto anteriore del vol. 1°, che presenta anche mancanze al dorso e muffe residue da umidità alla prima decina di carte. Allentate le cerniere dei piatti al 2° volume. "Bell's Edition, the Poets of Great Britain, complete from Chaucer to Churchill", NN. 52, 53. Mancano i voll. III e IV.
