8vo. Hardcover. In two volumes. Volume 1 pp. 412. Volume 2 pp. 542. In very good condition, Professionally rebound in half-leather over marbled boards. Raised bands on spine with gilt title on red label. With new end-papers. Pages themselves are clean and unmarked with light foxing. Protective tissue guards over title-page. Volume 1 includes adverts before the title page. Volume 2 is an ex-library copy, with library stamps on front and back of title-page, and mark on the last page from where a sticker has been removed. Nonetheless in very good condition for ex-library copy, with no other significant markings. The volumes are complete, with volume 1 including 1 portrait, 4 plates and 1 map, and volume 2 including 7 plates. Rev. Robert Walsh (1772 1852) was an Irish clergyman, historian, writer and physician. He became chaplain to the British Embassy in St. Petersburg and then in Constantinople in 1820.
