Hardback, Tall 8vo. approx 8.5 x 5.5 inches. In full calf leather fine binding, with decorative gilt and embossed paneled boards, raised banding and gilt and embossed decorations to spine and gilt lettering. All edges gilt. Dark brown endpapers. In very good condition. Lovely leather binding. Small chips to corners of boards, some minor rubbing to corners of spine. Crack to front hinge. Some minor spots and minor darkening to title pages, a few mild foxing spots to pages of ?Fall of Jerusalem,? else inside pages all very clean and tight throughout. Else a stunning copy. Two volumes in one. 368 & 167pp. Author was Dean of Saint Paul?s Cathedral, London, and son of Sir Francis Milman, physician to King George III. He wrote a number of verse dramas. This one is based on the history of Saint Margaret an early Christian martyr.
