FIRST EDITION, plates showing monochrome reproductions of work by Mondrian, Klee, Brancusi, Matisse, et al., subscription slip tipped in at rear, pp. 216, crown 8vo, original wrappers with Miró design to front printed in blue and black, a little soiled overall with some creasing at corners, light reading creases to spine, very good. Notable for featuring the first instalment of Jolas's translation of Franz Kafka's 'Metamorphosis' - the story's first appearance in English, preceding Lloyd whose translation was published in book-form by the Parton Press the following year (by which time Jolas's had not been fully serialised).
