Near Fine. An exhibition catalog from October 10 to November 10, 1990. Walter Valentini is an Italian artist born in Pergola in 1928. He is a painter, sculptor and etcher. He is a master in different techniques such as etching, aquatint, drypoint and multi-color lithography. As an artist, he established himself in the 1980s with a series of abstract works on wood and paper, all characterized by a precise sense of geometry, proportions and rhythm. Astronomy and cosmography are Valentini's most important sources of inspiration. His approach to architecture and celestial mechanics is mathematical and rigorous, but not without his poetry.
