Spines are decorated in gilt and blind stamped bands and scrolls, gilt titles, gilt spine ends. Titles include: The Pickwick Papers; The Old Curiosity Shop & A Child's History of England; Barnaby Rudge & The Uncommercial Traveller; Dombey & Son; David Copperfield; Sketches by Boz & Hard Times; Our Mutual Friend; Miscellaneous Papers & Edwin Drood; American Notes & Master Humphreys Clock & Life of Dickens. Approximately 7 ½ inches tall. Condition Report Externally Spine good condition gilt titles and decoration to the spine ends, some folding to the spine caps, gentle fraying to one or two volumes. Joints good condition solid. Corners good condition rubbed and worn. Boards good condition front board with embossed Dickens signature to a smooth background within a scroll, all cloth with embossed or stamped decoration, the odd mark but generally clean. Page edges good condition top edges blue, others tanned. See above and photos. Internally Hinges good condition solid and sound. Paste downs good condition clean. End papers good condition generally clean with some tanning or minor foxing. Title good condition generally clean. Pages good condition generally clean.
