Original pebbled green cloth by Wlilliam Kidd of Dundee with ruling in gilt and black to upper board and in blind to lower; gilt titles and decoration to spine. All edges sprinkled black; bottle green endpapers. Engraved head and tail pieces throughout. Cover cloth lightly surface scuffed and toned to edge, with bruised corners. A liitle very minor scattred foxing & fingermarking otherwise a very clean copy. Binder's ticket to rear pastedown; no annotation or inscriptions. Verse by poets James Ross, David Shaw, William Hunter,George Menzies, William Smith, Thomas Ormond and George T S Farquhar, gathered together by a local pillar of the Forfar community and councillor.
