A very scarce English language edition of Francis D'Ivernois' letters regarding the spread of the French Revolution to Geneva between 1792-1794. Written by Francis D'Ivernois, and translated from the 'Tableau de La Revolution Francois A Geneve'. D'Ivernois was a Swiss lawyer, essayist and politician. He was a counter-revolutionary and wrote many tracts on that subject. He was a political exile that established himself as a diplomatic agent for the British cause against revolutionary France.This English translation was encouraged by Jeremy Bentham, as an instructive guide for British government ministers.ESTC reference no.
