The Argentine literary legend, Juan Laurentino Ortiz (1896-1978) was inspired by his native wild landscape of Montiel and influenced by French symbolism and oriental poetry. He published his work in long verses in lowercase typography.The coloured illustration printed in a silk process is based on a watercolour by the outstanding Argentine symbolist painter Orlando Ruffinengo (1918-2011).
