Paperback. Condizione: New. Print on Demand. This book delves into the significance, spread, and means of fighting sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) in the early 1900s. At the time, such diseases were widespread, prompting the creation of the Austrian Society for the Combating of Sexually Transmitted Diseases in 1907, which later organised the Enquete (inquiry) described in this book. Featuring contributions from experts including professors, social workers, public health workers, and politicians, the book presents an in-depth view of the status of STDs at the time and suggests ways to reduce their spread and mitigate their effects. By addressing sexually transmitted diseases in a comprehensive manner that considers social and public health implications, the book provides insights into the historical context of public health during the pre-antibiotic era. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.…
