Both book and jacket are otherwise in very good condition with no inscriptions, and all contents are tight and clean. "Wittgenstein's lectures at Cambridge were renowned and were attended by some of the best-known philosophers of the day. This historic book makes available for the first time important source material vital to Wittgenstein scholarship. Detailed notes of a course of lectures were taken by Professors Geach, Shah, and Jackson. These have been carefully edited for punctuation, expansion of abbreviations, and correction of typographical errors, but form a uniquely authentic set of records free from editorial revisions and afterthoughts. Wittgenstein's actual words can often be recognized. A significant new light is thus shed not only on Wittgenstein's mature thought, but also on the way his personality impressed his pupils.".
