Large map, framed with wooden and gilt frame, with green mount. Framed size 57cm x 38cm. Engraved surface approx 47cm x 26cm. In very good condition. Vertical centre crease. Some light tanning. Else a very clean example. Subtle muted hand-colouring. An attractive and decorative map. This map was published in George Cooke's…System of Universal Geography. Showing the extent of explorations in Alaska and the incomplete knowledge of Australia, including a separate Van Dieman's Land.
