Worst hit were the provinces of Zeeland, South-Holland, and North-Brabant in Holland, with over 1800 fatalities and widespread property damage. This volume was published to benefit the Netherlands Flood Relief Fund. Introduction by Juliana, Queen of the Netherlands; otherwise the contributors are uncredited though the text is by Hans Redeker and there are photographs by Ed van der Elsken, Aart Klein, Ed van Wijk, and others.
