Spine cloth has a crease full length. There are two bumped corners. One page has a large dog ear tear. Illustrated with four full page black and white illustrations, all are present. Slipcase is an advertising piece with an ad for Abbot's books on one side and a place for the owner's name on the other, which does have former owner's name in ink. Abbott was a popular "young adult" author in the 1920's.
