Superficial inner hinges cracked, but the binding and boards are firm. Internally: paper light toned, scattere…d light foxing, most of the plates partially affected wt. moisture & foxing with some facing pages also affected. A massive volume of 1,195 plus a few pages, no Index issued; plus several plates, steel engraved portraits and woodcuts. A solid reference copy. Experienced full-time bookseller since 1994.
