It contains Fame is No Lady, a story by Gladys Taber, The First time I Died, an article by Eddie Cantor about the erroneous report of his death. Rubbing and edge wear to the covers. Spine roll. Celo tape at the top & bottom of the spine. The major flaws are 2.75 x 1.25 damp stain at the bottom of the pages near the spine that has associated tears, holes & adhesions through page 10 and a similar one with tears, holes & adhesions the sporadically affects pages 100 through the end. The Taber story and Cantor article are not affected. A poor copy thatt's only desirable for the Taber story and Cantor article.

Abner Dean (illustratore). A well-worn copy of the cartoon/humor hardcover that was published in 1945, the year World War II ended and paper conservation restriction were still in place. Cover is faded and the type has faded, making it somewhat difficult to read. Dust jacket is missing. But the book is tight and unmarked and many of the drawings make a point about living through Dean's off-center sense of humor. Corners bumped and spine shows some wear. Small glued- on label from a bookstore on the front endpaper.
