Soft cover. Condizione: Near Fine. Paperback, 166 pages, NOT ex-library. Clean and bright copy with unmarked text and tight binding. Cover mildly shelfworn with a small crease to upper edge of front panel. Spine unbroken/uncreased.

Hardcover. Condizione: Very Good. Large-format hardcover, NOT ex-library. Weight over 1.2kg. Book is clean and bright with unmarked text, free of inscriptions and stamps, firmly bound. Gentle handling wear only. Issued without a dust jacket. -- This visual chronicle of the Polish "Tricity" (Trojmiasto) region, capturing the tran…sition from the post-war era to modern times, is an English-language compilation of the most compelling shots from the popular Polish series Niezwykle zwykle zdjecia. The book focuses on the "extraordinary" nature of everyday life, documenting how ordinary people lived amidst major historical shifts. Historical Scope: The album contains numerous photographs covering events from 1945 - starting with the ruins of postwar Gdansk - through the Solidarity movement and into the contemporary era. Daily Life: Rather than focusing solely on political milestones, the images highlight culture, fashion, and street scenes, such as people queuing for toilet paper in 1971 or workers rebuilding city streets. Geographic Focus: It features images from across the Tricity area, including the historic streets of Gdansk, the seaside resort of Sopot, and the port city of Gdynia. The Photographers: The work represents a multi-generational legacy, featuring the archives of father and son photojournalists. Zbigniew Kosycarz (1925-1995): Known as the "flying reporter," he arrived in Gdansk in 1945 and spent six decades documenting the city's reconstruction and daily pulse. Maciej Kosycarz (1964-2020): He edited the volume and contributed his own contemporary photography, continuing his father's work as a chronicler of the region.
