Dentro del marco de la cibercultura, y de la ciberliteratura, Teoría del hipertexto. La Literatura en la era electrónica recoge, desde nuestro inicial punto de partida teórico y comparatista, una serie de artículos de algunos de los autores indispensables en la teoría del hipertexto: Paul Delany y George P. Landow, Jean Clément, Espen Aarseth, Susana Pajares Tosca, Stuart Moulthrop, Michael Joyce, Jane Yellowlees Douglas y Jay David Bolter. Los trabajos aquí incluidos prestan atención a aquellas maneras de concebir la escena que se alejan de los preceptos canónicos tradicionales: la performance, la danza contemporánea, el tratamiento subvertido de géneros y elementos clásicos, nuevas vertientes de la teatralidad, discursos estéticos de experimentación formal, fenómenos situados en la frontera de lo escénico, etc. , y dan preferencia al carácter relacional y político de la actividad escénica y a las diversas posibilidades de habilitar contra-espacios de resistencia frente al discurso hegemónico.
