With no background of bird knowledge, she attracted to her yard an amazing number and variety ofbirds. Although her primary interest was to befriend them, her banding records were astounding. She also managed to save an adjoining woodland that was a natural habitat for birds when it was threatened by development. A triumphant and inspiring story.
