Its last numbered page is 568.It also has 28 full page photographs of Judaica objects. Most plates have an unnumbered page facing them, providing explanatory notes relating to the object photographed. The plates are numbered 1 through 28. Original paper wrappers bound in hard cover Turkish-born Judaica collector and dealer Hadji Ephraim Banguiat moved to the U. S. in 1890s and sold substantial collections to, amongst others, the Jewish Theological Seminary and the U. S. National Museum. Dr. Cyrus Adler was at this time the custodian of the Section of Historic Religious Ceremonials for the U. S. National Museum.
