ABOUT THE AUTHOR Dr. Garima Upadhyay is a teaching faculty since August 2005 in the department of Home Science, Vasant Kanya Mahavidyalaya, Kamaccha, Varanasi (added to the privileges of Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India). She did her higher studies from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi beginning from B.Sc (Hons) Home Science, M.Sc (Home Science with specialization in Food & Nutrition) and Ph.D, Home Science (Food & Nutrition). Several research papers/articles/chapters in books have been published by her in UGClisted national and international journals. In this research work we have focused on analyzing the effect of active attacks on the performance of basic routing protocols, like Ad-Hoc On Demand Distance Vector Routing (AODV), Dynamic Source Routing (DSR) and Dynamic MANET On-Demand Distance Vector Routing (DYMO).We have designed secure routing protocol for MANET based on Certificateless Pairing-free Cryptosystem which removes inherent Key Escrow problem of certificate based cryptosystems and reduces large computational cost of pairing operations.
