Las expectativas de que la independencia política de los países africanos engendrara desarrollo pront…o se convirtieron en un espejismo, ya que las enfermedades, la hambruna, la falta de buenos alojamientos y de instalaciones de atención de la salud se convirtieron en la suerte de los africanos comunes. Esto dio lugar al resurgimiento de la integración regional en África, especialmente en el decenio de 1990. Por consiguiente, la investigación se propone examinar la recién formada Unión Africana (UA) y sus posibilidades de transformación de África. Para ello, se proporcionan los antecedentes que precedieron a la formación de la UA, se establece el estado de las economías africanas que son de carácter rural y se utiliza el método documental para reunir los datos utilizados para analizar el problema. La investigación revela el hecho de que prácticamente todos los Estados africanos siguen dependiendo en gran medida de la exportación de una estrecha gama de productos primarios, lo que da lugar a vínculos débiles entre diversos sectores que dificultan la construcción de economías dinámicas, autosuficientes y socioeconómicas. 144 pp. Spanisch.
