This is #30 in The Mariners Library series. Book is tight, square, and unmarked but for a F/O name on the FFFP and a Captain's Bookstore price sticker of $2.95 on the FFFP. Book Condition: Very Good +; light shelfwear; faded tint to textblock top; slight spine roll. DJ: Very Good +: NOT Price Clipped (18 shillings net); light suntoning to spine, panels, and flap folds; light wear to tips and head; stain to bottom of rear panel. Blue tweed paper over boards and spine with black lettering on the spine; black compass on the front board. 214 pp 12mo. This book is the story of the author's solo voyage going around the world to the west from New York beginning in November of 1924. It is taken from the Journal of the Firecrest which was the name of his ship. This epic voyage takes him through the Caribbean, the Panama Canal, Polynesia, Australia, The Cape of Good Hope, around Africa to the Azores and finally back to his home in Havre France in July 1929. A clean very presentable copy.
