Comme dans beaucoup d'autres pays en développement, la glomérulonéphrite est l'une des causes les plus fréquentes et les plus probables de l'insuffisance rénale terminale au Bangladesh, où une personne sur sept souffre de différentes maladies rénales. Les statistiques sur la prévalence des maladies rénales au Bangladesh sont limitées et il n'existe pas de registre central des biopsies au Bangladesh. Compte tenu du fait qu'il y a peu de données publiées sur les maladies rénales dans notre pays, cette étude a été menée pour décrire le modèle histopathologique de la maladie glomérulaire dans la partie nord du Bangladesh. Dans ce livre, parmi 773 patients, la présentation la plus courante était le syndrome néphrotique, la maladie néphritique et l'insuffisance rénale aiguë restent les autres présentations.
