Manuscript Letters Two letters addressed to the author's aunt Ń the longer of the two letters December 18, 2000 on Olson Sundberg stationary, handwritten in ink from Seattle, Washington. The noted Seattle architect who covets (and designs) "woodsy cabins" along with other accomplished urban settings, in a quite warm and revealing four-sided handwritten letter to his "Aunt Carol" and a singular separate letter also to Aunt Carol composed at a later time. The longer letter describes in detail his ideas of building and architecture often originating from more intimate woodsy structures to a love for modern art Ń and in particular Morris Graves Ń to his various travels in the southwest and west coast of the United States. Five sheets in fine condition. An important personal background portrait of an architect in the making. "Tuesday, December 18th, 2000. Aunt Carol, it's 7 am - I'm on the early ferry to Seattle. It's dark and rainy (of course) - but I can see the sun coming up over Puget Sound.".
