This is one of about 200 copies signed by Moore and the artist, Jacen Burrows, on an inserted sheet. This signed issue was a premium in the Kickstarter for Moore's Cinema Purgatorio graphic novel. Contributors pledging the higher levels received signed copies of Providence. By my count, 189 people made purchases that included the signed issue. In any case, it's scarce. The entire edition was just 6,666 copies. A second printing was issued when Avatar published the complete set of four Providence graphic novels alongside a single volume compendium. Alan Moore is probably the most important writer for modern comics. His Watchmen is almost universally credited as the finest graphic novel. His work on Batman, Swamp Thing, V for Vendetta, and the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen have been hugely popular and influential. First edition (identified by no statement of second printing).
