Condizione: ACEPTABLE. Estampa perteneciente a la obra de Albert Racinet titulada LOrnement Polychrome. Racinet (1825-1893) es reconocido por la publicación de dos obras primordiales para la historia del diseño: Le Costume Historique y el propio LOrnement Polychrome. Esta obra en cuestión, publicada entre los años 1869 y 1873, recopila 100 estampas con motivos decorativos del arte desde la Antiguedad hasta el siglo XVIII, incluyéndose motivos sobre madera, cerámica, arquitectura, metal, teztil, etc., y procedentes de una gran variedad de culturas diferentes. Resultó tal éxito que en 1885 comenzó a editarse una segunda serie de 120 estampas, que incluía además nuevos diseños del propio siglo XIX. Resaltamos la probable influencia que pudo haber tenido en esta obra el Grammar of Ornament del arquitecto y diseñador Owen Jones (1809-1874, uno de los responables de la Gran Exposición de 1851), y que se publicó poco antes del LOrnement Polychrome, en el año 1856 y que igualmente resultaría una pieza fundamental para la historia del diseño.
