First Edition. 12mo. Staple-bound pamphlet; pictorial card wrappers; 16pp. Mild external soil; Very Good or better. Exposé of one of the major intelligence leaks of the early Cold War, which resulted when Major General Robert W. Grow, at this time the Military Attaché to the U.S. Embassy at Moscow, allowed his private diary - filled with classified and private confidential information, including passages that suggested the United States was planning an imminent military advance on the Soviet Union - to fall into the hands of East German agents. Though the slip-up was accidental, Grow was court-martialed and relieved of his command.
