Pod koniec lat 50. przeniosl sie do Berdyczowa, gdzie pracowal jako nauczyciel, w latach 1858-1860 mieszkal w Zytomierzu, gdzie byl jednym z organizatorow Stowarzyszenia Ksiegarsko-Wydawniczego wydajac tam m.in. swoje elementarze dla ludu; zob.
