Paperback. Condizione: new. Paperback. Zoey The Pomeranian Girl Dog tells, in her own words, about how she experienced being groomed for her birthday. From the pre-trim and bath, to the finishing touches, she tells children about how it's done. Twenty One color photos illustrate her time at Paw Prints dog spa. Alexander Rooker, better known by Zoey as "Dah", typed the story for Zoey since her little toes are too small for the family laptop. The material has been written so that the "high points" are in larger fonts- and details are in smaller fonts. Reading just the high points will help maintain the attention of the youngest of listeners. More mature children can follow the details contained in the smaller font- at which point reading the whole sentence will expand the story for the listener. When able to read the story on their own, children will enjoy having reached a personal developmental milestone. This item is printed on demand. Paperback. Condizione: new. Paperback. Life is Precious, made all the more so by its end. A child focused book, this explanation of Death is begun through the inclusion of stories of real life pets which have influenced the author. Easing into the topic of Death are: Dottie, the Pomeranian; Lady, the Cocker Spaniel; and Bones, the Sheep Dog. Photos taken, at the historic Old Smithville Burying Ground in Southport, NC, provide visual aids to needed discussion with the child audience. Room has been included, on the pages, for parent / guardians to make notes before reading the material to small children. Adult readers are encouraged to substitute simpler words as may be needed based on the listener's maturity. The process, of explaining birth, life, and death to a child, is one of the greatest opportunities for relationship building with the child. An understanding of the life cycle is critical to a child's development toward a balanced maturity. It is writer, Alex Rooker's, hope that in reading this book to a small child, or discussing it with a maturing child- that the process will become a cherished memory honoring the death which caused the need for such loving attention. Grandparents will particularly enjoy reading the story to their pre-school grandkids. Fifty two images cover aspects of boat travel and activities on shore. Though intended to primarily be read for entertainment, images and the story line can be used to create educational opportunities. Two sentence structures have been employed to make it easy for a reader to adapt the story to fit the listener's level of comprehension- and attention span. Large black fonts are used for the words of the main story. Standard blue fonts are used for the "filler words" which expand the sentences. This item is printed on demand.
